She looks out the window
At the blue sky and the birds
That seem to be flying into it
At the winds, blowing through it all
Through all that comes in the way
Wishing she could be the same
Hoping she could be as free
As careless, as the winds, and the birds.
Her eyes roll back to the reality
Her hands in her lap
Tied down with an invisible rope
It hits her, the anguish of her life
And the power of her daydreams
Her eyes roll back
Out of the window
